You can tell a lot about a person by their smile and Amy’s is the kind that lights up a room. She also has a penetrating gaze that seems to go straight through you. But I wanted to find out more about Amy and I appreciate having the opportunity to ask every question that came to my mind.

Caramel:  Hi, Amy. Thanks for doing this interview with me. I love your blog. I understand you’ve already chosen a photographer and know the company you’ll be partnering with for your upcoming website. I’m guessing it’s SMC or Buddy Wood. I understand if you’re not ready to announce. Are we allowed to talk about it yet?

Amy:  Thank you, Caramel! It’s gotten off to a nice start and I am still kind of getting the hang of blogging on a normal basis.  I am more of a live journal fan though and the randomness of personal live journals.  But blogging is fun too!

I actually have “chosen” a photographer and company for my site.  I’ve kind of been not holding anything back to let people know that I have been shooting with my friend Buddy Wood.  I don’t think its something that I try and keep secret because people usually associate Buddy to good things and AmyDaly.com will not disappoint. Saying that, I think everyone already knows that Buddy works for Grooby and that means that my site will be a Grooby Site.

I did get in contact with both Shemale Club and Grooby when I was shopping companies and in the end I decided to go with Grooby because I love shooting with Buddy. Shemale Club puts out some great sites, I have to admit. But have you seen Hazel-Tucker.com?  It’s amazing! Expect similar from AmyDaly.com as far as layout and looks go…My content is what I am most excited about.  I’ve been able to do some fun shoots and things out of the normal, go sit there and look pretty ok now go masturbate stuff.  I’ve got to do some skating stuff, school girl stuff, working out, you get the picture! I will also be bringing you some of the hottest lipstick lesbian trans scenes as well.  My favorite scenes to do are with other girls.  You will see a lot of those!

Caramel:  Buddy Wood is widely known as the Sam Peckinpah of transsexual film and I absolutely love the Hazel Tucker website. I love Grooby and SMC’s websites also.

If I were an adult entertainment producer, I would have jumped at the chance to feature you the moment you hit the scene. I’m pretty good at predicting who’s going straight to the top and was impressed that you didn’t seem to be a diva. Do people often tell you how refreshing it is to see a nice new person in the business?

Amy:  That is actually one of the things that I hear the most!  I may have been late to a few shoots early on, but I think I killed ‘em with kindness. I hear all the time “Any publicity is good publicity”.  That may be true if you have no other way of getting seen or heard, but I think it’s a terrible way to go about doing things and will only burn bridges and make people dislike you.  I try and be friendly to everyone unless I am treated poorly and I think people generally think I am easy to work with.  I am probably one of the most easy going models in the scene. I just like to have a good time.

Caramel: Please tell me about “Morgan Bailey’s Bad Day”, your collaboration with Buddy Wood,  starring Morgan Bailey, Hazel Tucker and Olivia Love and yourself.

Amy: Well, I do have to say that this movie looks like it’s going to be great.  It seems like you don’t see too many transsexual porns with plot and a story line anymore, they are all just a bunch of clips thrown together on a DVD.

Caramel:  You must have known you’d arrived when you were tapped for the AVN award winning series America’s Next Top Tranny Season 6 from Devil’s Film. You starred with with Astrid Shay, Celeste and Jesse Flores and your scene was with the beautiful Astrid. Promotion for the movies states that while on set, you two were caught in a back bedroom doing more than exchanging makeup tips. Is that just press talk or did you two really have some chemistry going?

Amy:  I was really excited to shoot for Devil’s Film and with Astrid but for those most part, the stuff they put on the back of DVD covers is just storyline stuff.  Of course it was all a set up scene.  Astrid and I are both friends though, so it made the scene go easier for sure. It’s also easier to do a scene with people who you find attractive. They just come out better. I think everyone knows that.  So it was an easy scene to shoot and we had fun.

Caramel:  Exposure to adult entertainment has virtually de-sensitized me to terms like “shemale” and “tranny” but when in the real world, they’re derogatory to me. Like yourself, I prefer “transsexual” and “transwoman.” Have you ever had to tell someone in person not to call you a tranny or shemale?

Amy: I will call someone out on it though if they do say that.  It really is pretty offensive in my opinion. For instance…I had some guy tell me at a club “You look like a real girl”.  To me, I take that as “Wow you look like a girl, but you aren’t”.  My response was “Cool thanks, you look like a real guy. Are you?? Oh cool. I thought you were a trans guy. Oh Well…”

Caramel:  Do people assume right away because you’re and adult entertainment star that you’re an escort?

Amy:  Most people do. I could see why though. Most of the girls who do porn are escorts it seems.  Thats not really me though.  I don’t think I could ever do the escort thing. Nothing against the girls who do.  They can make some easy money pretty fast.

Caramel:  I understand that you got your start in adult after visiting The Palms in West Hollywood and promoting Transgiving, a transgender performance and art show. You gave Buddy Wood a flier, not really knowing who he was or if he even knew you were a transwoman. He gave you his card, you sent your photos to Grooby Productions and before long, you were working together for Shemale Yum. How did you overcome your initial case of nerves as you went on to be shot for most of the other major trans porn sites for pictorials and movies?

Amy: Yep, all that is true. The first time was nerve wracking for me because I had never done porn or anything like that and I wanted to do a good job. I still get nervous about other things. I just want everything to go right. And of course all the positive feedback that I was getting at the start helped my confidence.  I really didn’t think that the first couple sets I shot did me any justice, so I went out contacted Shemale Strokers and Shemale Club andBob’s Tgirls . My shoots for them were OK. I could have done a better job in my opinion. If you compare my first two Yum shoots to my last ones, it doesn’t even look like the same person.

Caramel:  There’s nothing like starting at the top! You became roommates with Morgan Bailey, moving into an apartment in the Valley in beautiful Studio City. How did you and Morgan meet?

Amy:  Morgan and I met on a little road trip to Vegas. Buddy wanted to use PK Vegas’ studio to shoot Morgan’s movie for a scene, so he brought me along to shoot with PK For TransSex Domination. We kinda of just hung out the whole time, it was pretty cool. I don’t normally warm up to people as fast as I did to Morgan. Shes just a very open person and easy to open up to.

Caramel: PK is amazing and speaking of amazing, did you meet Hazel Tucker through Buddy?

Amy:  I did meet Hazel through Buddy as well…I met her the first time I went over there to shoot for Yum and she was just very sweet.  We went out to a bar later that night and hung out a little more and we have been friends ever since. She was the first girl that I met in the porn industry who I could honestly call a friend. She gave me a lot of encouragement to keep on going at the start and has been one of the biggest influences in this whole thing.

Caramel: You were nominated for a Tranny Award also. In 2009, you won in the category of “Grooby New Face” You must have been proud of that.

Amy:  I am! It’s a pretty cool achievement. Being it was my first year in porn and I had no idea what I was getting in to or doing and really inexperienced to pull off getting an award for best new face really felt good.  I think as time passes, I will be able to show even more why I won that award. I’m just getting started.

Caramel:  I don’t know if your preference is for men or other transsexuals these days, but your work with Mandy Mitchell and Juliette Stray is a translesbian and translesbian admirer’s wet dream. How did you hook up for your shoot together?

Amy:  Well, Mandy was another girl that I met through Buddy.  She was in LA for some shoots and we met at a party at Buddy’s house.  We just kind of ended up hanging out that night and keeping in contact online.  Recently, both her and Juliette came down to shoot for Grooby and being now in the Grooby family, we just worked out the scene for my site. Originally it was going to be a scene with me and Mandy and then a scene Juliette and I.

Caramel: You probably hate labels as much as I do, but would you consider yourself bisexual?

Amy: I do consider myself bisexual, but I identify more on the Lesbian side.  I am really picky when it comes to guys. I’m a sucker for nice guys.

Caramel: That’s exactly where I’m coming from, too. You’ve made a stunning appearance at Grooby’s Shemale Pornstar. Were you already aware the this website’s great history before it’s remodeling?

Amy:  Thanks! That scene is actually most most recently released work.  So it kind of is a picture of the current me.  The set was originally going to be a scene with Christian and I and Buddy was going to shoot it.  But that fell through a couple times, so I said forget.  It just so happened that Morgan was going to Vegas to shoot with PK Vegas for pornstar, so we just worked it out that Her and I took a little road trip and shot all with PK and Danny!  I was not actually ever aware of the site before Grooby took it over and re-did it. I actually really like the site and the content that they put out. PK Vegas puts out most of the content for them I believe with some stuff by Buddy Wood as well. Both of them do really good work…the site is really just great quality.

Caramel: You attended The Tranny Awards on March 5, 2010 and I wish I could have made it to Cali for that, especially since I had the honor of being one of the judges. What was it like to meet Steven Gallon, the Grooby CEO and founder of The Tranny Awards?

Amy:  It was cool. Steven is a nice guy. He is much different in person than online.  We have met previously the last time he was down in LA though. He took us all out to an awesome dinner. So it wasn’t like we hadn’t met before the award show.  I like him though and I really do appreciate the way that him and his company have been able to help me develop, so it was nice to put a face to the name. Especially since I will be working with him even more now with my website.

Caramel:  What was it like to meet and hang out with some of your peers you were meeting in person for the first time?

Amy:  I don’t know, its like any other time you meet someone for the first time.  It’s always cool to meet people for the first time that you knew online.  What was really cool was meeting some of the girls that I kind of knew of online way before I was in porn.  I remember seeing Olivia Lovewhen I was like 14 or 15.  Stuff like that is cool to me.

Caramel: You’re from L.A.,  What were you like as a kid in school?

Amy:  Well lets see…I was good when I was in school for the most part.  I did most of the homework and did OK.  I dated a ton of girls. Played soccer and ran track and cross country.  Went to parties on the weekends. Punk rock shows too. I had a lot of fun.  I miss those days!  I remember getting up at 7 AM and skating to school and ditching 2nd period because we had a sub.  But I wish I could of experienced them as myself if you know what I mean?  I guess you could say I was a good kid who just liked to have fun and hated doing homework.  I am still the same way now!

Caramel: When did you make the decision to begin transitioning full-time?

Amy:  I made the decision some time in high school. I just didn’t actually do it until a few years later when I had the opportunity.  I had a long term girlfriend of like 4 years and things went bad.  She got into drugs, started cheating, and getting crazy.  So we broke it off.  I had also gotten a job at an ideal company for me to start transitioning at.  I just took it little by little at a time.  There was never a point where I could say “Ok, now I am full time”.  It was just such a gradual fade from one phase to another. It was almost happened perfectly. People didn’t even notice it was happening until physical things started changing and I just had to tell everyone. Pretty much everyone was like “Ok, cool”.  It was really surprising and comforting. My work had zer0 problems, all of my friends but 1 remained friends, and my family still supported me. It took them a while to come around, but it happened and they treat me as if I was always their daughter.

Caramel:  Some of your hobbies are skateboarding, snowboarding, hanging out at the beach and you’re a punk rock and indie film fan.

Amy:  Yep. I love doing that stuff. I haven’t really been skating or snowboarding in a while since I started working full time and doing everything else, but I still love doing it. I do love punk rock music. I do love indie films I guess.  I guess I picked up porn as a new hobby too lol! I used to go to a ton of punk shows all the time too. Lets see…I’ve seen Bad Religion, NOFX, Pennywise, TSOL, Suicidal Tendencies, Less Than Jake, Saves The Day, Weezer, The Get Up Kids, Blink 182, Rancid, Pulley, Bouncing Souls, just to name a few. That’s not even half. Only the ones I can think of right now.  The other day I even saw a Megadeth concert.  What else? Lets see..oh I also love playing guitar too.  I am not that good or anything, but I do love playing.  I had the opportunity to play in a pick up riot grrl band at the Dyke March a few years back. That was awesome.  I need to get back in to it, but having fake long nails all the time for shooting makes it so hard to play.

Caramel: So what’s cooking for you next, Amy?

Amy:  AMYDALY.COM! I have been putting nearly all my shooting time in to my website this whole year and the last month of last year.  I’ve been having a lot of fun doing fun shoots and different stuff than the normal sit there, look pretty, now masturbate stuff.  Buddy has been editing his heart out on the videos and Grooby has been putting together a hit site for me. “Morgan Bailey’s Bad Day” is the next Movie that I will be in (although it was the first movie that I was ever a part of).  I also haven’t shot for any movies or other websites this year at all except Shemale Pornstar.  The 2nd half the year, I will most likely shoot a little bit for a couple other sites to get my newer look out there, which you can see at amydaly.com. A reshoot with Shemale Club is on the top of the list since I wasn’t too happy with the first set of shoots I did with them. They ranked surprisingly well on that site though. I think I was like in the top 5 for a really long time.  That’s about it.  I do want to shoot with Devil’s Film some more this year for some DVD work… So we’ll see.  My website and my members will come first this year for me.
